RAMMSTEIN: New Album 'Harder Than Before'
May 6, 2004The following update was posted on RAMMSTEIN's official web site:
"Recently the FanArea Team had a chance to hear roughly half of the upcoming RAMMSTEIN album, in an unmastered state. Since we did not listen to all the songs, we can not state if they are representative for the whole album but here is our impression summarized: The music seems to be harder than before, and is still highlighted by keyboards throughout and beautiful musical and vocal passages at the right moments. Several of the songs are stuck in our head, especially the chorus of one in particular ... More news about the upcoming RAMMSTEIN album here soon."
As previously reported, RAMMSTEIN have set a June 14 release date for their new single, entitled "Mein Teil". "Mein Teil" comes off the group's long-awaited follow-up to 2001's "Mutter", tentatively due this summer.
The recording sessions for the new RAMMSTEIN album took place in Spain while additional recordings were made in a session with strings and a choir in Berlin. Production duties on the upcoming CD are being handled by Jacob Hellner, who worked with the group on "Mutter". No further information is currently available.
